Superhero cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) returns in DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE. Freshly expelled from the NYPD, McClane encounters a number of threatening phone calls from a terrorist calling himself Simon (Jeremy Irons). Simon tests McClane's wits, and allows him the chance to stop each bomb by solving a riddle. In addition to using his previously learned anti-terrorism tactics (DIE HARD, DIE HARD 2) , McClane enlists an angry store clerk, Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson) to decipher Simon's tricky enigmas.
DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE finds director John McTiernan returning to the creative helm of the series he began in 1987(Renny Harlin directed DIE HARD 2). For the third film in the detonative series, McTiernan creates a story line which floats from psycho terror to sonic action to interracial comedy relief. The acting is something to be marveled at as well. Bruce Willis miraculously evokes sympathy whilst playing the angry police man and Jeremy Irons' performance as the villainous Simon is reminiscent of an Eastern European James Bond megalomaniac. Samuel L. Jackson's is also worth mentioning as he gives an angry discourse in racism and then pops off one liners, both ice cold and slick.

Zero Day (DVD)

Shot entirely on hand-held video cameras, ZERO DAY is director Ben Coccio's debut feature, portraying the lives of two wayward teens as they plot a Columbine-like act of vengeance against their high school. Zero Day is the name the two boys give to the fateful date on which they will carry out their heinous act of revenge, a day towards which they race inexorably throughout the movie. The two protagonists, Andre Kriegman (Andre Keuck) and Cal Gabriel (Calvin Robertson) are obsessed with documenting their every movement, filming even the most minute detail in their well-executed plan. To avoid detection, the boys store their camcorder footage in a safety deposit box, ultimately requesting that their stored legacy is left in the hands of any major television network, thereby ensuring their posthumous fame. The fascinating and creepy video diaries include footage of the seemingly normal family lives of the boys (with both sets of parents being played by the actors' real parents), and also... Creepshow 2 (DVD)

This sequel to the popular EC Comics parody once again brings an anthology of Stephen King's tales to the screen. In Old Chief Wood'nhead, a dime store Indian comes to life and exacts bloody retribution on those who murdered its owner; The Raft details four teenagers descent into terror as they are stranded in the middle of a lake patrolled by a carnivorous gelatin monster; The Hitchhiker tells the tale of a woman's fateful date with destiny after she runs down a nightime hitcher. As in the first film, all three tales are interconnected by the Creep, an undead host with a penchant for maniacal cackling.
